How did you come up with your band name, "McFly"?

Tom: The name is from the movie 'Back to the Future'. There was a character called Martin McFly and we were just big fans of the movie.

You made a big impression on fans in the movie 'Just My Luck', what was it like starring in that?

Tom: It was really cool and lots of fun. That was about four years ago now.

You must spend a lot of time together, how close are you as friends?

Harry: We are really close friends and we do most things together. We've known each other for about six years, but we have a lot of other friends too.

We know you play guitar, but are there any other instruments that you play we might not know about?

Dougie: I can play the didgeridoo! I'm not very good at circular breathing because that's pretty hard but I can do the other stuff. Danny had one in his room and I stole it from him and started to use it!

Where did you get a didgeridoo from Danny?

Danny: My mum gets me weird instruments for my birthdays like didgeridoos and African drums and the next instrument I'm after is a hand drum. It's like a spaceship shaped instrument.

You've been to Australia before. Why did you choose to come back to Oz to record?

Tom: It worked so well last year that we thought we would come back.

Is there anything you want to see while you're here?

Tom: We did so much last time, like climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, going to Taronga Zoo and going skydiving and go-kart racing. We haven't really had a lot of spare time this time around. We go into the recording studio at about 1pm in the afternoon and don't leave till 11pm at night!

Are your Australian fans as crazy as the ones back home?

Dougie: It's equal craziness! They are awesome, they are really good fans.

What's the craziest fan encounter you've had?

Dougie: We had one fan come on stage and smell all our armpits!

Finally, what can we expect from your new album?

Harry: It's going to be better than our previous album, we always try to make it better and we think we have some really good songs on it, so hopefully people like it.
