Hayden Panettiere dyed her hair red because she was fed up of being called "cute".

The 'Heroes' star - who portrays a blonde-haired cheerleader in the action show - opted for the dramatic change in appearance because she no longer wanted to "overcompensate" with her personality to seem interesting.

She said: "I was tired of being a blonde...it's fun to change things up, and I feel I don't have to overcompensate as much personality-wise when I have red hair as I do with blonde hair."

I personaly think I liked the golden locks better but it's haydens choice.I think it's good to have a change after a while like changing your hair colour! It brings out her firey personality.
