How did you come up with the idea for Johnny Bravo? They always say. "Write what you know." I took the characteristics of people I admire (like Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Arthur Fonzarelli, my college roommates), rolled them into one person, and then made him dysfunctional.
Can you tell us about Johnny Bravo goes to Bollywood? Johnny Bravo shimmies and shakes his way into Mumbai in a bid to re-claim his A-List status.
What gave you the idea to send Johnny to Bollywood? He's a natural fit in the macho world of real-life Bollywood mega-stars.
What reaction do you get when you tell people you created Johnny Bravo? At first, they don't believe it because I'm a normal looking guy from the Philippines. But then they get curious and try to figure out how Johnny's brash persona can come from a happily married man with two daughters.
What's the best part about working in cartoons? I love seeing the faces of kids and adults when they watch how cartoons are made. It's like being part of a magic factory.
Johny Bravo goes to Bollywood airs on Cartoon Network November 20 at 6pm.
