When I’m in the writing room, I feel super unfiltered and don’t really have worries or anxieties about being honest in my music,” she says. “I do feel like that’s a very normal fear, and one I’ve had throughout my whole career. But the biggest payoffs come when you allow yourself to be vulnerable in songs.”

The path from a hobby singer to breakout artist started early for Freya. “I developed a love of singing after getting a karaoke machine when I was five,” she says. That early spark led to years of songwriting, performing and never giving up on her dreams!

Freya talks openly about nerves, pressure, and juggling schoolwork with stardom. “Balancing school is a lot… going from a big fight sequence to algebra is one of the most difficult things.” One minute she’s filming an intense scene or rehearsing vocals, and the next she’s back at a desk doing maths homework, wow!

Freya says after her tour, her next major goal is recording her debut album. “Having my debut album come out will feel like a really huge moment. I’m excited to have time to work on that, and continuing to tour is going to be so much fun. I have many more tour dates coming up this year, which I’m very excited about.”

Representing the UK on a global stage? Iconic. Freya represented the United Kingdom during the 2022 Junior Eurovision competition, and she handled it with total bravery and like a real pro! “I feel like I learned a lot when I did Junior Eurovision, definitely a lot of resilience. As a person, Eurovision really shaped me and gave me great techniques for dealing with nerves and public perception,” she says.
